Terms of services and condition for alumy world
By joining the Alumy community, you agree to follow the general TOS.
Breaking the rules may lead to warnings, kicks, or bans depending on the offense.
Sanctions
You may be given up to three warnings by the staff
- Kick: temporary removal of a user from the species, can range from a week to a month depending on the offense. The user may rejoin the discord server or interact with the community again after the timeout has ended, however any next major break of the rules will lead to a definitive ban.
- Ban: permanent removal of a user from the species, preventing them from getting any new designs and participating in the community.
We do not tolerate breaking rules in the discord server or the instagram, and if the following rules are broken, said user may receive a warning.

ADOPTS, TRADES AND RESALES
The trading cooldown is 1 week.
- For traded/sold pre-existing alumys & adopts: The cooldown starts when the masterlist post is updated or created UNLESS you have a toyhouse profile approved by the designer that prooves you have owned that alumy for more than a week. In that case, you can just submit the alumy to the masterlist and skip the cooldown once the ML is up.
- For traded/sold MYOs alumys: The cooldown starts when the masterlist post is created.
- During that cooldown you cannot vouch, resale, retrade or regift that alumy (you cannot do anything with the alumy prior to it being uploaded to the masterlist). Past that cooldown and you are free to do any.
- You cannot resale an alumy for more than its base value, unless additional art has been bought for it.
Make sure to have the masterlist of the alumy you are trading/selling/gifting away and to update it! Do not trade an alumy that does not have a masterlist post or has its masterlist not up to date (or if the cooldown is still in effect).
This rule is to prevent potential scams and missing masterlists.
ADVERTISEMENTS IN DISCORD, instagram & alumyworld
Alumy Members are allowed to advertise their Alumy Sales and Trades to the extent they would like in any other social media account. However, there are other ways to advertise Alumy Sales and Alumy Trades other than advertising on their own.
For Advertising on Instagram:
- Users can tag the Alumy_Species account when they wish to sell or trade their Alumys. This does not mean the Alumy_Species account will see their post due to Instagrams general limitations.
Users can also use the Alumy tag or any other tag to advertise that they have an Alumy for sale
For Advertising on Alumy Discord:
- Advertising must be in the correct channels in the Alumy discord server
- Alumy-seeking and Alumy-sales-trades should be used to post advertisements if an individual has an Alumy they wish to trade or own
- Species-Advertisement should not be used for Alumy specific sales and trades
- Users are allowed to advertise in any other discord, as long as they follow that discords specific rules and regulations.
CO-OWNERSHIPS
- You must notify in the comments or thread of the adopt you are offering on that you are planning to do a co-ownership. Both parties must be set on personal rules and agree to follow them.
- The masterlist must also be notified of all parties co-owning the alumy.
- If you want to trade, sale or gift your side of the co-own, or redesign the alumy, you must have the approval of all other parties that co-own the alumy. The process cannot be approved without any proof.
Due to LoreKeeper's nature, we cannot have two duplicate entries, therefore the co-own is only text and will only appear in one of the owner's profile.
VOIDING AN ALUMY
If you wish to void / de-species an alumy, you can contact Admins about it.
Voiding is the act of removing any physical traits that ties it to the species and removing its official status as part of that species, changing it to something unrelated.
- Voiding is permanent, meaning you cannot un-void the Alumy you previously voided.
- You will be asked to redesign the alumy to remove any traits that would link it to the species (nose, third eye etc). Once the design is approved, it will be removed from the masterlist.
- You cannot resale a previously voided design as an Alumy design. If you are found breaking that rule, you will be blacklisted from the species.
BLACKLIST & GREYLIST
Greylist
Greylisting is used when a user engage in harmful or inappropriate behavior towards the staff, the community, or is generally a nuisance to the species's well-being, but has not committed any major offences to warrant a blacklist. Users put under greylisting will be notified.
Being greylisted means that a user have been put under surveillance of moderators and admins, but is allowed to interact and partake in the species and community. This comes with some limitations concerning purchasing adopts, customs and resales/retrades ; this means that they would be allowed to only purchase designs from our current staff members (including GA) to let the staff decide upon themselves if they wish to sell that design to that user or not. All character resales, so masterlist updates, will be overviewed by an Admin or Moderator in addition to the regular masterlisters thru a ticket specifically (in our discord server).
They would also be banned from applying as Guest Artist or any staff position.
Failing to follow the TOS and rules of greylisting will warrant that user a blacklist. That greylisting may be lifted if the user behave and doesn't cause any troubles for an amount of time (usually depending on the offense). If they causes any troubles after the greylist has been lifted, they will be instantly blacklisted.
Blacklist
Blacklisting is rarely used and only in extreme cases of repeated offenses, scams, harassement, or anything that may put the community and/or our staff in an unsafe situation. Blacklist is in most cases permanent, but we keep the right to lift a blacklist to a user we deem safe again to enter the community under a greylisting.
Being blacklisted means that a user is not allowed to purchase any future Alumy designs nor is allowed to interact in the server and community. We do not revoke said user's Alumies or ownership, but they are allowed to resale, trade, gift or void those as they please, without the ability to own them back again.
GENERAL BEHAVIOR RULES
- You must be above the age of 13 to participate in the community and the Discord (per Discord’s rules).
- We will not tolerate any discriminating or hateful behavior such as (but not limited to): racism, homophobia and lgbtqia phobia in general, ableism, xenophobia etc.
- Do not harass or spam any users or staff members of the discord or instagram community.
- Do not beg or guilt-trip the staff for not being picked as a GA or another position, we receive a lot of submissions per period.
- Do not guilt-trip or force members into trading or selling you an alumy, in the same way do not harass members for not trading certain alumys that you want.
- All users in the Alumy server must not use insulting, defamatory, accusatory, violent, or discriminatory language in this server. All users must use kind and respectful language when interacting with others.
- Themes amongst alumy members must be kept appropriate, the discord server is PG-13 and we will not accept any NSFW imagery.
- Conversations in the server must refrain from talking about heavy personal topics. This includes politics, social issues, negative current events, personal heavy grievances (difficult family situations, domestic abuse, drug abuse, triggering mental struggles, mentions of death/losses, etc).
- Discord users, besides Moderators or Admin, may not mini-mod due to the possibility of spreading misinformation. Any users that have any inquiries about the species or the server can either ask questions in #staff-questions, open a ticket in #help-desk, and if necessary, can DM any Mod or Admin.
